Trimethylglycine (Betaine HCl)

Trimethylglycine, or betaine HCl, is a cofactor for an enzyme that converts homocysteine back into methionine.1 Homocysteine “affects collagen by interfering with the cross-linking between the collagen fibers and the tissues they reinforce.”2 Collagen is one of the components of cartilage.
