Vitamin E

Vitamin E is a strong antioxidant. Oxidation plays a central role in inflammation in which ROS (reactive oxygen species) attack cellular tissue like cartilage. Antioxidants give reactive oxygen species something to attack other than cells. ¬†One study found that Vitamin E supplementation “prevented joint destruction, as measured by qualitative and semiqualitative analyses.1
